I sailed into Kodiak, looking for a job

twenty eight days from Hanalai Bay

Now I'm towing on a power skiff

looking for those Humpy fish

trying to catch five hundred thousand pounds

like I've done in fifteen other towns

Soon I'll be leaving Kodiak

stole the cook wont bring her back

if the weathers good we'll sail to Godard Bay

there we'll live a life of ease

making love amongst the trees

eating clams and what ever can be found

like we'll do in fifteen other towns
